sideswept hair

I know my posts have been kind of random lately...more life-oriented than wedding-oriented, and I tend to prefer it that way. :) But everyone's telling me I've slacked off for long enough and we've got to get back to planning now. It is only three months away at this point. So I'm suddenly dealing with dress fittings, bridesmaid dress shopping (did I mention I do things at the last-minute?), shuttle booking, cake tastings and all that other madness I'd rather not think about.
Today, I have hair on the brain. I'm kind of digging these side-swept looks, although it'll probably depend on what kind of headpiece I decide on. The veil fight conversation with my lovely nonna will be reenacted here soon...I promise.

  3. awesome. really.

and as far as veil "conversations" go, i caved to my mom. i figured i could have some veil photos for her, and some without for me and the world would be a happy place.

i don't really regret it- it worked out.

  5. i'm in love with the perfectly messy side pony/braid. i'm totally considering rocking it...but my desire to go retro 40's with the hair may overpower it... wonder if there's an in-between?

  6. The hair is delicious and you could still rock a very cute little (or huge) veil with it.

P.S. Life is more exciting than weddings!

  8. I love side-swept hair -- I love my side-swept bangs, and as soon as my layers grow out just a little more, I absolutely CANNOT wait to rock a side braid.
    Gorgeous pictures as well!

  10. Side-swept hair is absolutely gorgeous. It's so elegant but still casual.

And next time you need a cake tester, please take me along. I always thought about pretending to get married so I could wander around to a few bakeries and taste their cakes...but I'm not like that.

  11. Looove sideswept hair. Definitely at the top of my list at the moment. Kind of gives the illusion of having your hair down, without it going all over the place.

  12. Those are all lovely.

I'm the queen of last minute. Just try not to leave it all to the last last minute (as in midnight the night before your wedding - Trust me!)

  14. For people who have hair that can actually pull it off - it has such a romantic feel! However, I am not one of those people....I have been cursed with thin hair ( I know....sigh...) If you can do it - definitely do it. Just make sure you have some kind of pin or flower holding it so you aren't one of the those girls who keep messing with their hair to stay to one side OR they talk to you with a tilted head so they can keep it that way ( you all know what I mean!...sorry rambling

  16. Love the sideswept look. I really wanted a veil, and cathedral length at that, but if you don't then I just wouldn't do it.

  18. Something very timeless about that second image. If you could pull off side swept (doesn't work with my very fine hair) you should totally do it!
