Little me with my grandparents.
I've been obsessed with vintage cameras and Super-8 video lately. There's just something about the grainy, slow-moving images that make the memories so much more nostalgic and romantic.
My uncle had a Super-8 or a Super-16, and I remember him setting up an old projector in my basement so we could gather round and watch home movies. I have to find that footage of my grandmother and her sisters frolicking in an Elizabeth park with their fabulous bouffants and wool peacoats. When he had them transferred to VHS format in the 90s, he chose "Sunrise, sunset," as the background music, for some odd reason, which was kind of depressing.
Anyway, I think a wedding video set to a Nick Drake song would be cool.
Here is one of my favorite Super-8 wedding videos, courtesy of Bliss Productions:

Here and here and here are a few purchases I'm considering, although I'll need to do some research on how accessible the film is, and how much the transfer from Super8 film to DVD will set me back. I've heard it's very pricey. Any suggestions are welcome!
